This page details the current terms and conditions for Salt & Earth Photography. By securing your booking, you are agreeing with the following terms below..

Pricing + Booking
A 50% deposit is required to secure your photoshoot & venue. The final amount is due 3 days before the shoot via eft or cash on day in a marked envelope. Dates will only be reserved for 48 hours. Your booking will be secured upon receipt of your deposit.
R1500 of your full amount is our booking charge - this fee is non refundable or transferable in the case of cancelation or reschedule. This includes medical reasons & emergencies for postponing/cancelling your session.
Reschedule - Kindly note there is a R1500 booking fee & a R600- R1000 venue charge to secure another date & venue.
Cancelation/refund - R150 administrative fee for refund + R1500 Cancelation fee (your original booking charge)
Kindly note that we do not refund rescheduled sessions. All cancelations must be notified within 48 hours of booking date to qualify for refund.
Kindly note that EXPRESS SESSIONS do not qualify for reschedule or cancelation option and need to be paid in full to secure your booking.
Information we collect
When you enquire for pricing, we may ask for your contact information, including items such as name, surname, email address and telephone number. Your information will be stored in a client/enquiry database for the purposes of contacting you with information about your upcoming session and for future promotions. Kindly let us know if you are not comfortable with the information on file and we will remove your details from our database. More about our privacy policy below..
Copyright & Ownership
Salt & Earth ~ Carmen Niemand retains copyright as the artist of all images created. Images provided to client may not be reproduced or altered in any way, unless indicated by a print release or permission from artist. Clients have thee right to print & share their images online but images may not be used for commercial purposes - sold/printed/published on/or any platform without permission & credit. Being able to share and use the photographs we capture is an essential part of running a photography business, nevertheless we will respect your privacy should you request to kindly not share your session. Please make sure you request this on your booking confirmation email before your session.
Session times + Duration
Client should arrive to photoshoot, dressed (including hair and makeup) and ready for the session 5min ahead of scheduled time. Timeliness is imperative for the smooth execution of each session. A grace period of up to 10 minutes will be given for each session. After 10 minutes, clients will incur a charge of R800 to extend their session & cover additional venue charge. Should the delay of client's session interfere with next booking - no additional time will be granted - the client will only be able to shoot for the remaining time of their booked session. Client will forfeit full payment of session by arriving after their session time or not attending the shoot at all without giving prior notice. Kindly note that all bathroom, feeding & snack time breaks will be taken off your session time this includes outfit changes. For reason that your package only includes the venue cover charge of your booked session's time. Should you wish to book additional time to get ready at the venue & change outfits during your session, please let us know when you book, so that we can add the additional venue charge to your invoice and schedule the booking accordingly.
Image Galleries + Storage
Your image gallery will be live for 30 days upon release, should you need an extension of an additional 10 days to download please let us know before your gallery expires. Gallery re-upload will be charged at R350 per set of images. We keep secure image back-ups for 3 MONTHS - so please ensure you back up all your images on multiple devices for safe-keeping. The downloading of images is a requirement and responsibility on the client's behalf. We do offer a yearly image hosting of R800 per year to keep your images safe should you want to keep your gallery live as a backup & to have easy access for individual image downloads.
Liability
In the unlikely event of technical problems, camera/photographic failure, loss of images before delivery, injury or sickness beyond photographer's control, Salt & Earth will reschedule your session at no additional cost & include a free standard 20 page album.
Unhappy Kiddos 🙁
We will always act professionally and with patience during tantrums and breakdowns. We are there to use our experience to not only capture beautiful images but try our best to engage with your little ones. In the event that your little does not want to cooperate, we will try our best to capture the session discreetly. Unfortunately we can not guarantee kiddos laughs & smiles during a session but we can allow for a safe space for them to express their emotions and hopefully engage with them at some point. Parents are responsible for the safety & behaviour of their children during the session and are encouraged to stay close & vigilant.
